I use a chartbook where I have a list of several instruments in a watchlist. This watchlist is linked to multiple charts in the chartbook and when I click on a symbol, the same charts will be displayed to the new instrument. So I use the same charts for all the instruments in the watchlist. I do lots of drawing on my charts (mostly lines and circles) and when I switch to another instrument, the drawings on the previous chart are shown on the new instrument's chart as well if the two instruments have similar price ranges. For example I draw a line on the EUR/USD and it will be shown on E6Z17 as well because their price is close to each other. I suppose this is the case because the drawing tools are 'linked/attached' to a chart window and not to an instrument. Is it possible to set drawing tools to be displayed on the specific instrument only where they were created? In the above example, this means that although the chart would store the drawings of both the EUR/USD and the E6Z17, the drawings created on the EUR/USD would be displayed only if this is the active displayed symbol and vice versa. |
