Hello, I feel that CD chart is not showing correct information in my platform. here's 1 min GOLD futures today Sept 6, 2013 http://screencast.com/t/cYoIwSpw as you see at 8.30 AM EST CD candle is not in line with bullish price candle. Could you suggest why is this happening? I'm using Velocity Futures as my broker chart settings are http://screencast.com/t/ZMKufCfU5h http://screencast.com/t/QMpGBe92 http://screencast.com/t/DHO8zMUUiw http://screencast.com/t/y8rDcTiGfBl Thanks! It looks like you are using TT data :) Whether the trade happened at the bid or the ask is set by the data feed. SC just plots what it gets. A quality data feed like IQFeed will solve this. For data feeds with poor bid/ask accuracy, try using the Cumulative Delta Bars - Up/Down Tick Volume study instead. |

yes, I'm using TT. how reliable is "Cumulative Delta Bars - Up/Down Tick Volume" study? can I use it for gauging market sentiment instead of original "Cumulative Delta Volume" study using TT feed? thanks for response! Den |

I use TT data as well. It is fast and reliable, but has poor bid/ask accuracy. The Cumulative Delta Bars - Up/Down Tick Volume study with TT data is very close to the Cumulative Delta Bars - Volume study with IQFeed data. Attached is a comparison I did last year. The upper panel is Cumulative Delta Bars - Volume study with IQFeed data. The middle panel is Cumulative Delta Bars - Volume study with TT data. The lower panel has cumulative delta bars made from Up/Down ticks with TT data. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-09-06 15:11:43
