I have tried to enter a symbol for SPY Options using the instructions "For stock options, this is an example symbol format: VMF Jan 22 2011 25.0 Call. The letters are case-sensitive." and have been unable to get it to work. For example, for the SPY current month 249 call option I entered: SPY Sep 15 2017 249 Call What I get is the following warning over and over again in the log "Warning: Receiving data for unknown symbol SPY Sep 15 2017 249.0 Call" and no chart. Has anyone got this to work with TD Ameritrade as the data service?

Therefore, you need to use this format: SPY Sep 15 2017 249.0 Call Be sure to include the .0. And also in our experience there is no historical data available for the options. Really we recommend Interactive Brokers instead. The TD Ameritrade API is no longer supported by TD Ameritrade and we no longer do any active development related to it.
