We do not know what we can do to help with this.

It sounds like a might be caused by some kind of system issue on your side.

Provide the Chartbook you are using and we will test it and see if we can reproduce. Here are instructions:

I have run more complexes chart books on other computers same settings no problems Same Video cards in both machines
difference is CPU Intel in the problem one and AMD in working one?
1. have removed and replaced Video drivers
2. just using a 15 min and 1 min charts
3 Doubt it's a single chart issue

is it possible a clean install would help?
and if so how?

We do not think a clean installation of Sierra Chart would make any difference and we strongly recommend not to do that.

We would like to test the Chartbook you are using.

It's not the chart-book
it's the Sierra3.cfg file
I did a clean install deleted everything
Problem gone when , add the Sierra3.cfg from a back up problem returned on just two charts very simple charts 15 min and 2 min chart ES
I then deleted the Sierra3.cfg and restored the "Sierra3.cfg.back" problem gone but missing some of the drawing tools choices.

I can send you all three if you would like

OK we thought it may have something to do with a particular global configuration relating to the Chart Values tool. And we would have later asked for that file from you.

Attach the Sierra3.cfg file you are using when you notice the issue.

We understand what the problem is. It relates to using the option Hide Chart Values Tool When Pointer Not Over Chart.

We are always afraid of these kinds of features that people ask for and the consequence of them. This is an excellent example of this.

You need to disable Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Chart Values >> Hide Chart Values Tool When Pointer Not Over Chart.

In the next few days we will determine a solution.
