Is there a way to set up an alert on an intraday chart that after the 1st alert for the day, it doesn't alert anymore that day? I know I can do it on a daily chart but I need it for a 1 min chart. Sometimes the alert is early in the morning, sometimes around lunch. Once the criteria is met once during the day, it no longer is active until next day. Thanks |

No this would require the use of ACSIL: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AdvancedCustomStudyInterfaceAndLanguage.php Or the Spreadsheet System/Alert Study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SpreadsheetSystemsAlertsAndAutomatedTrading.php Also refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SpreadsheetStudiesSpecialTasks.php#StateLocking Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I didn't see anything in the spreadsheet study foe trading or backtest sections that said anything about doing one trade per day on the first signal. For example I want to short a previous low break only the first time during the day it breaks. Not every time it trades below the previous low. |

If you want to do one trade per day you can use the Spreadsheet System for Trading Study: Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading And then you can reference this cell to see when the order was entered and not submit any more for the day: Spreadsheet Systems, Alerts and Automated Trading: Last Entry Trade Date-Time [J42] Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
