Is there a way to show a ask bid diagonal difference profile with either number bars or volume by price?

This can be done with the Numbers Bars study. This is supported through the Column # Background Types Input setting: Numbers Bars: Numbers Bars Background Types Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. OK, that is what I was doing. When I have background type set to ask bid difference profile and switch the background coloring method between the diagonal dominant choices, there is no change. They are all based on actual. Percentages are not calculated.

The ask bid difference profile is not scaled to all visible bars on the page.

We have little idea what you are referring to.The ask bid difference profile is not scaled to all visible bars on the page. We will support this in the next release.

When using a diagonal comparison on a numbers bar and coloring it, one loses information of what happens in uncolored rows. Is there a way to put a neutral color row in so we don't have to make another column with redundant information just to see what happened in the missing row? http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1504150177564.png |

We are still not understanding this. Understand that this is a very complex study with its configurations and from our perspective this is still very vague. How the Background and Text coloring methods work are fully documented here: Numbers Bars: Background Coloring Methods Logic You need to read through the documentation, and understand the details. It would be best to refer to something specific in the documentation related to the particular Background coloring method you are using. Sorry, I have not been able to articulate myself better. I have spent a tremendous amount of time reading the documentation over many days. Could you look at this pic please? http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1504150177564.png Do you see how the yellow number bars are identical to the green/red ones? Attached are my settings. How can I add rows to the green/red bars to give them the same shape as the yellow bars? This way I don't need to double the columns used just to see what the rules omitted. The attached pic shows in blue what I am referring to in post #8. I could not edit and upload pic using required upload method after editing pic. I could then eliminate all the yellow columns and text because all the information would be in one column. I could double or triple the bars on screen to avoid needless duplication. Basically there are two possibilities. We can add a default background color. Or you can set the Column 1 Background Coloring Method to Based on Volume Percentage and use the same color for all eight of the colors for the first Numbers Bars column. Then use the Column 1 Text Coloring Method for the diagonal comparisons. This way you will see always a complete Volume Profile when there is no dominant side on either the bid or ask side of a price level and therefore no Volume Profile shown. Yes, that is exactly what I want. Thank you. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1504200509180.png If you can make it we don't need the numbers and just the rows change colors, that would be great. |
