Question on Number Bars - Diagonal Dominant Side Calculation

Hi, If I read the explanation correctly it compares the Bid Volume from one level lower than current price with the Ask Volume from the next higher level from current price. How is the calculation performed for the highest price level in each bar as there would not be a level to diagonally compare to for the Ask Volume? Also, how is the calculation perform when there is only one price level for a bar as there would not be any diagonal? Could someone please explain exactly how the calculation is performed with an examples? If possible an image showing how the calculation is performed would be most helpful. Thanks in advance |

No, this is not correct.For each price level, the bid volume is compared to the ask volume above and the ask volume at that same price level is compared to the bid volume below. If there is not a price level to compare to, then the comparison is done to 0.
