Hi, In study Volume By Price, input name 'Display Volume in Bars', I set it to 'Number of trades'. Then when the chart is set to e.g. 15 min timeframe, and the price moves from 1 price to another, the number of trades are updated across multiple prices and are corrupted it seems. |

yes I have done all this, and still this happens, the only timeframe it doesn't happen is when I set it to 'Number of trades per bar' with a value of 1

Here are the instructions to set Sierra Chart to a tick by tick data configuration: Tick by Tick Data Configuration Verify that you do indeed have tick by tick data. There is zero percent chance the study contains a bug like this. This is technically impossible. I even get it in replay mode. I'm on CQG Web API and I'm using Sierra version 1599 (prerelease). from my observations it seems that the price levels that are within the current bar all updated at the same time. here is the image http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1503345961515.png |

OK, we see the problem. This is just affecting the Number of Trades. There was a problem where the prior number of trades was not being subtracted on a chart update. This will be resolved in the next release. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
