2 of the indicators I'm using are the NQ TICK and the 20 MA of the Ask/Bid Volume Difference Bars study. Both these fluctuate around a 0 center line. I want to know how I can auto calculate the upper and lower 'value areas' of these studies. I.e. I want to see where the majority of price traded in. Example: NQ TICK fluctuate between +500 and -300 for a given period. I want the system to plot levels that will show where 80% of the ticks traded (So upper 40% and lower 40%). Almost like the VAH and VAL of volume profiling. Is that clear enough?

The closest that is available this is to use this Draw Style:
Chart Studies: Horizontal Profile (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_HORIZONTAL_PROFILE)

Are you sure about that? SC usually have an answer for every request. The horizontal profile is not what I was hoping for. Any other ideas? What about something like a standard deviation with bands or a median with bands - do you think something like that might work?

The standard deviation with bands is close enough. Should have thought about that. Thanks
