With FXCM now gone in the U.S., can Spot FX data and trade execution be done with a forex.com or Oanda account? Is IB the only U.S. Spot FX broker where a feed and execution can occur directly in Sierra Chart?

Thanks,
Daniel

We apologize for the delay.

Forex.com is Gain Capital and Forex trading is supported through their futures trading platform service which also supports cash Forex. Sierra Chart does support Gain Capital futures. Refer to:

And Interactive Brokers is also supported:
Interactive Brokers Trading Service

Oanda is not supported.

Thank you,

Still a bit confused. If I open a futures account through their OEC, I get the forex feed, but will I be able to enter trades directly in Sierra Charts if my account is with forex.com? Or does this just provide the feed? I notice their OEC futuresonline.com offers forex accounts. If I open a forex account with them, will that allow direct execution through Sierra Chart?

Thanks again,
Daniel

We are not sure about this.

Yes this is correct and we know for sure.

Thank you for the help. I have the OEC feed coming into Sierra. I am able to execute trades directly in Sierra with this method for spot FX. However, there is a small price difference when I compare the OEC feed in Sierra to their Gain Trader platform. For instance the USDJPY is consistently 1-pip difference. Could this be a bid vs ask problem? I contacted Gain and they said there should be no difference in their server data from the OEC FIX. See screenshot.

Sierra_Chart charts the Bid and Ask average, and all price bars and current price for the symbol is based upon this average.

Overall we have found this to deliver the best reliability with the price data from Gain Capital because otherwise we have seen some issues.
