Currently I use DTNIQ to feed data into SC, and take advantage of the CME market data fee waiver program since my trading broker is Interactive Brokers. I am wondering if the planned SC direct CME data feed will also take part in thisCME fee waiver program? Thanks. |

Yes the CME waiver will be available for anyone with a futures trading account. However, the data feed will only be provided when you are connected to your Live Interactive Brokers account. Since we use a technical method to verify you have a trading account. If you connect to your paper trading account the standard Interactive Brokers data feed will be used. Although, if you for some reason you cannot connect to any of your Interactive Brokers accounts you will still be able to access 10 minute delayed historical data. Your response raises an additional question or 2 : 1 - It sounds, from your answer, that the requirement to have a source and destination instance of SC running, one for me to connect to DTNIQ and the other to connect to Interactive Brokers, might no longer be necessary. It sounds as if the new SC CME data feed will be "baked in" to SC itself? Is that a correct assumption or will it continue to work as it currently does? 2 - Will I still be able to have multiple instances of SC running, all accessing the SC CME data feed at the same time on a single machine, or will I need to purchase additional data feed licenses? 3 Will I be able to have multiple instances of SC running on 2 different computers accessing the same SC CME data feed, or will I need to purchase additional data feed licenses? Thanks. ken |

Here is our first revision of information about this data feed which should answer your questions: This data feed is fully and seamlessly integrated with all supported Trading services. Therefore, when this data feed is activated on your Sierra Chart account, your charts and trade DOM windows will receive this new data feed for the supported symbols. There is no symbol configuration and no need to set up a second copy of Sierra Chart on your system.
Only one copy of Sierra Chart can be connected to this data feed at a time. Additional copies of Sierra Chart require a separate paid connection which is 20 USD per month. This applies whether the additional copies of Sierra Chart are on the same computer or a different computer compared to the copy of Sierra Chart using this data feed. If you have paid for one connection (35 USD per month), you are connected to your trading service and using this data feed, and you are running a second copy of Sierra Chart also connected to your trading service, that second copy will be using the data feed provided by your trading service unless you have paid for a second connection (20 USD per month). Sierra Chart provides a method to share data between installed copies of Sierra Chart on the same system. By using the data sharing, it is possible to use the data from this data feed across multiple copies of Sierra Chart and only pay for a single connection. The new Sierra Chart CME data feed is now available: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php As long as you connect at least once to your Live account during the month, it is possible to also get this data feed when using an Interactive Brokers paper trading account.
