I'm looking for the opportunity to Express Trade Window in the Trading Dom. I introduced a function to Control Bar "Attach Trade Window To Chart Window". When you press the button, a Trade Window in the Trading Dom. If you press the button, the Trade Window is allocated from the Trading Dom and I are looking for an opportunity to that window disappeared again. Can you offer any suggestions? |

I think that is a really nice trading dom. Did you design that Trading Dom that you showed in the jpg screenshot above, User297539? If so, is it possible to share that chartbook here so someone else can also load it into their Sierra Charts software?

In the next release, there will be a new command on the Trade menu to close the Trade Window for the active chart. You can then add a Control Bar button for that as well. Good evening Guys. Thank you very much for your update, but I have another treatment. It would be good to add another function to the Control bar. In visions of buttons such as for example Break Even, Cancel All, Flatten. The fact that I want to save some space on the monitor. This function is for opening and closing Trade Window very relieving, but not always close the position quickly. Also tried a closing function on the keys, but to do this, first use the mouse to activate the Trading Dom and only then it will work out this feature. Is it possible to do?

Actually, thinking about this some more, it is not too difficult for us to add Control Bar buttons for all of the trading commands that are supported by keyboard shortcuts. We will work on that.

While you are doing things to the trade window, is there any chances of changing the buy / sell button groups from the current horizontal orientation to be vertical with the buy buttons on the left? Every DOM I've ever used stacks the buys on the left vertically and the sells on the right. It may sound minor, but I swear, when I'm trading it causes me to have to think a lot and I have made mistakes just because these buttons are horizontally orientated. Also please when you do place these vertically, but the bid button below the ask button, we are used to seeing bids below the ask. Thank you.

In regards to post #12, we tried to do this, but we have to widen that compact Trade Window which we do not want to do. Inevitably it will lead to complaints. Longer-term we will work on the ability to customize it. We have talked about this a long time but eventually we will get to it. Actually, thinking about this some more, it is not too difficult for us to add Control Bar buttons for all of the trading commands that are supported by keyboard shortcuts. We will work on that. We will try to get this done over the weekend.

Actually, now that we are adding Control Bar buttons for all of the Trading related commands that keyboard shortcuts can be set up for, you will be able to accomplish this by using custom Control Bar configurations associated with the Trading DOM. You can also optionally hide the Trade Window through Trade >> Close Trade Window. Refer to: Control Bar Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. OK, I really don't understand why you would have to widen the window and I agree widening would be undesirable. You have 3 buttons wide currently and I am suggesting only 2 buttons wide. That would be narrower. 1 row for buy buttons, 1 row for sell buttons. |

The problem with what you are describing in post #16, is that if we start moving the controls down there will be some users affected by this because they do not have enough available height in the chart or Trade DOM. That is a good example in the Trading DOM in post #18. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
