i thought that by disabling "DTS->Allow support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds" that I would bypass the SC data servers and pull the data directly from the broker service but i don't think that's what's happening.

i'm comparing CTS-T4 with CQG on a tick by tick basis using cumulative delta volume study in SC.
i "edit->delete all data and download" for both services. they have different symbol names so i delete the data and download for both. When i compare them using cumulative delta volume they end up being identical.

i would have expected some difference since i've seen big (huge) differences before using another software charting program so i know that CQG filters some of the tick volume.

can you confirm that my procedure for bypassing the SC data server is correct and that i should be pulling historical data only from CTS-T4 and CQG? or if not please recommend the procedure for doing this.

No, this is not the case.

We would expect there to be a match.

You cannot bypass the Sierra Chart historical data, when using CQG or for expired contracts in the case of CTS.

thanks for the clarification

one last question about this just to make sure i understand

is the real time data that i'm receiving when using a CQG trade service come from CQG directly or the SC data server
and also how about CTS-T4 does the real time data when using CTS-T4 trade service come from CTS-T4 directly or the SC data server?

thanks

The real-time data comes from CQG.

When using CTS the real-time data will come from CTS unless you are using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.
