I would like to create a chart that compares the relative strength of each stock to a basket. What is the best way to do this in Sierra Chart?

Currently, I'm using the Study/Price overlay and the Spreadsheet System for Trading to aggregate stock data. How do I plot multiple relative strength lines on a chart? Is there a way to output as a matrix (in addition to lines on a chart)?

See the two attachments for examples of a chart and matrix I'd like to build.

You can use the Percent Change Since Close study on an open chart of each stock symbol, then use the Study/Price Overlay study on a 'master chart' where you'd place each line in the same chart region.
Is there a way to output as a matrix?
Each of the overlaid studies output values that a spreadsheet study on the master chart could use to create a matrix. The matrix would be on an added Sheet that is not associated with a chart.

Here are some limitations:
-A very large basket of stocks would require a chart for each symbol (they could be minimized), but performance may suffer.
-Conditional formatting of cells is not supported.
-You would not be able to sort the matrix; each row would be tied to the column it referenced. The easiest way would be to manually order the overlaid studies in the Studies to Graph list.

Expanding on tomglib's answer to the part of your question on comparative strength say relative to the S&P 500 index chart, I'd suggest the following:

1. Follow Tomglib's advice to use percent change since close on each of the stocks you want
2. This means eg setting up individual charts for say 10 stocks you might be really interested in at the moment as well as another chart for the S&P 500 index
3. On the S&P 500 index chart add the same type of study - percent change since close and make that the main graph
4. Use study overalys to bring the percent change since close for each of your 10 stocks across to this chart but have each of those hidden so they don't appear on the main chart
5. Add 10 instances of study subgraph divide/ratio to the main chart and for each instance do the following: divide the percentchangefrom close for Stock A by the percent change from close of S&P500.
6. Make sure you use distinct colours
7. Use the watchlist feature and watchlist integrated into a control bar to quickly change stocks so you can go through many stocks

Since 11 lines on a chart can be rather busy I'd suggest doing this with five instead and use the power of the watchlist to get you through your big list of stocks

PS as a postscript you might want to look into the study summary window feature that Sierra have released as well since this can give you a tabular comparison of strength using the above now that you have created all those charts

Yes. This is now available through the Study Summary window:
