Currently the zig zag study does not reset at the start of a new trading days, so that the swing from the end of one day carries to the start of the next day, and when a gap is present, which is most always, this adds a large skew. Is it possible to add an option to reset at the start of a new trading session/day?

This would indeed be a very useful feature. It has been requested before and, in the most recent request, support said that they would look into it. Hopefully they are working on this. ZigZag Study |

Great idea, it would be highly appreciated to be able to avoid that misleading zig zag made on the gap.

We do plan to get to this. This is complex to implement. Zigzag is probably one of the most complicated studies that we offer. Every time it is worked on, requires a great effort because there is so much to understand with it. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
