This is explained here: Global Symbol Settings: Setting of Intraday Chart Session Times You just need to disable the settings that enable the applying of the Intraday Chart Session Times to the chart. 1. Well, in my case here the global settings also had evening sessions named. However, when the symbol rolled over - the evening session never loaded. That is a problem. And I wish to keep that "Apply intra-day...... checked". SO your response only directs to how it should work. But it does not work even with the settings checked. 2. If you go to "Edit Global Settings" from chart settings - the times there are not readable and has only one digit space for minutes. This is another problem I just noticed. Not good. Will appreciate if you took a few minutes to look into the 2 above. This is where settings are not working as they should even with the times named as they should. |

1. Make sure you are running the current version of Sierra Chart. Go to the chart and select Chart >> Chart Settings. Change all of the Session Times settings to something different than they are including changing Use Evening Session different than how you have it set in the Global Symbol Settings for the symbol. Press the Apply Global Symbol Settings button. Do the Session Times change to what they are in Global Symbol Settings? 2. This is typical Microsoft garbage. SO, on above - let me get this clear what the problem is - Global Settings has my input with respect regular and evening hours Apply intra day is checked on chart settings and also on global settings Evenings hours is also checked and picking up from global settings. And that is frankly I want it since on the automatic rollover - I do not want any other session times settings to take over. That said, recently on GC rollover - all my intra day charts lost evening hours loading up and I had to literally go and again check evening hours under the chart settings. And that is my problem. Before the rollover - evening hours were loading up and all good. With automatic rollover on GC; evening hours check mark went from checked to unchecked. And that is exactly my problem. Please let me know what should I do. |

The above narrative is with respect to 1 above (not point 2 above).

Yes - when I press "apply global settings" button - the times change back to what I have in global settings. This part was never a problem. Sorry to have missed to reply on this one before.

OK we now understand what the problem is. We need to add a Use Evening Session setting to Global Symbol Settings. We are doing that now.

Hope you are not talking about the Windows work around release. This is to do with introducing a - "We need to add a Use Evening Session setting to Global Symbol Settings. We are doing that now." |
