Hello
Good health to you all.

I'm not asking for how to write the Alert Conditions, I can stumble through that eventually if you tell me it can be done.

I'd like the coloring of the CCI when in Fill-to-Zero Draw Style with Based-on-+/- Auto-Coloring mode to change if the CCI value exceeds +100 and the opposite.

I found a spreadsheet that will do it but it's a huge RAM-hog and colors go squeewonkie at the zero-line.

If it can be done with an Alert, a nudge towards an SC link that gets me on the right path would be just dandy.

Thanks and cheers,
JD

Yes this can be done. Here is an example:

The violet color indicates where the condition is true.

It is only set to color for +100 in this example.

Here is the documentation for this:
Color Bar Based on Alert Condition: Coloring Subgraphs of Other Studies

Make sure you set the Draw Style for the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition Subgraph to Fill to Zero.

I'm very grateful for your time and showing me something new.

Please find attached 3-images:
1. My results from writing 2-Color Bar Alerts based on your response;
2. Using a memory-hog spreadsheet application with an overlay (from the spreadsheet) of Draw-Style Fill to Zero colors between 100 to -100;
3. Using a memory-hog spreadsheet application with an overlay (from the spreadsheet) of Draw-Style Bar colors between 100 to -100;

I apologize for not having included the images 2 & 3 in my initial inquiry. While not ideal, these spreadsheet-application images more accurately represent the appearance I'd like to achieve with Color Bar Based on Alert Condition Studies to Graph. BTW I don't know how much RAM the spreadsheet uses, I just know if I have it open and I do a Control-A, it takes many seconds to Save v. without, it's less than a second.

If you tell me the appearance in Images 2 & 3 are achievable with Color Bar Based on Alert Condition, then I'll run with it. If it's not currently available, then I'll go onto other things.

If it is possible, I would think it could apply to ther oscillators: Stochastic, RSI etc.

Best regards
JD

We cannot help with the particular style you are looking for. Probably could be done but we would have to think about that and experiment.

Also make sure you are using Fill to Zero and not Fill Rectangle to Zero.
