could you please tell me if it is correct that my cross-hairs are taken away every time I place a horizontal line? This means: I right click to the shortcut and click on horizontal line and every chart where I had my cross hairs pointer is gone.

Try setting this option from the main menu: Tools/Tool Settings/General, "After Single Tool Use Change To", select "Chart Values" instead of "None". I also have shortcut keys set for "Pointer", "Chart Values/Crosshair", and "Hand", so I can easily switch between them. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-05-15 00:17:19

Yes what you describe does make sense. You can keep the Chart Values Tool always active. thank u Merlin and I had made this setting to "chart values" a long time ago and is still the setting. I will have to take a look at the suggestion from sc.
