I need Daytime trading session Open High Low. (I meant in Post Title- Not High-High)

I studied the Session times documentation. I need the full day recorded, and to know the evening High low..
Both are set to 00:00 to 23:59:59.
My evening session setting is not necessary, your documentation says.

The Day OHLC study gives the 24 Hr-to current-time OHLC.

Wouldn't a "High/Low Since Time" option setting in the High-Low for Period, based on the "for Period" study-- be useful ?

Chart setting of Evening session appears to have some programming built into keep Start of session in the prior day, so I can't just call evening my day session, right?

Seems like Day Session could be added into Symbol settings, or computed as opposite the evening session.

A possible Solution:

Having many charts that use the same SP Symbol, I can use a chart that does not require Start Stop times of Full day:
Most of the Statistics charts don't feed except daytime trading.

a) Set that one chart to Daytime settings Start-Stop 8:30:00-2:59:59,

b) Apply Day OHLC to that,

c) Overlay that Day OHLC onto the longer Full day chart.

Sound right?

Those instructions seem to provide for putting Evening OHLC lines on a Day session.
I need the opposite, Day session OHLC lines on Day session, and need to see the full 23+hrs in one chart.

To use day session OHLC that way (as you indicate) requires setting Start-Stop time to Day session, and setting evening session different, right?

"Use Day Session Only: When this Input is set to Yes, and you have defined and enabled both the standard and evening Session Times in Chart >> Chart Settings, then the Open, High, Low, Close lines will be based upon the Day Session only as specified by the Start Time and the End Time Session Times. Refer to Session Times for more information."

The word "standard" there means "day" session, right?
Both sessions will show-chart the same as when both are set full 23+hrs?
Apparently not, or there would be no need for Fast Switch view from Day to Full session:
Chart Session Times: Quick Switching between the Full Session and Day Session

I've always had both just set to full day to always be able to see the full 23+ hrs (maybe was default).
Also, the VolumebyPrice reflects the whole day.

EDITED: I tried 2 sessions, evening & day, not over-lapping.
Settings: use Intraday chart=yes, Ref Days back=0, #days to calc=1 Use Day Session Only-Yes

It did not work right. It shows OHLC from the beginning of the evening SP session: 17:00:00.
I need from 8:30:00 of today day session.

My suggestion of overlaying from a strictly day session chart worked right when I tested that chart with day session only.
My problem is solved. If you know what I did wrong the other way, please indicate.

Use 2 instances of the Daily OHLC study.

Your Chart Session Times need to be set to:
Start time 08:30:00
End Time 16:59:00
Check Use Evening Session
Evening Start 17:00:00
Evening End 08:59:59

Adjust settings in Daily OHLC studies to suit.

An example of the above - copy the file to your Data folder.

Adjust the settings to suit your preferences.
