is it possible to build a button that tells a simple spreadsheet autotrade to trades short and another to tell it to trade long? I'm guessing it is by using a custom study and including that value in the spreadsheet calculation. I've never done a custom study, and i'm not a programmer so i'm hoping a few of you can point me in the right direction to get me started. Or if it's already been built (i'm sure it has), and you'd like to share or sell, please let me know. |

You cannot use a button with a Spreadsheet study but you can set a Sheet cell to indicate this and have your formulas make reference to that cell. That would be the proper way to do this. You could use an ACSIL study that interacts with Control Bar buttons and set the state of the button into a Subgraph and then the Spreadsheet Study could reference that value, but that is getting complicated.
