sc was using about 600m ram. Other than keeping up with your upgrades, absolutely nothing else has changed. Now ram use is often over 3g.What is happening and how to correct?

This is a question that you will need to answer from your side. There are no changes which would cause increased memory use. Refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html Specifically refer to these sections: 30.25, 30.28, 30.31 The other thing to do is to close charts one by one to see if there is a particular chart using a lot of memory or if the problem is associated with charts in general. I have found Adjusting Virtual Memory (Windows Pagefile) (Win 7, 8.1 & 10) enables maximum memory use without freezing. See - https://www.javelin-tech.com/blog/2017/04/virtual-memory-solidworks-performance/ or Control Panel -> System - > Advanced System Settings - > Advanced - > Performance -> Settings - Advanced - Virtual Memory - > Change -> uncheck ~> Automatically manage page file size for all drives -> check ~> Custom Size -> Inititial Size(MB) ~ 2 x physical memory (eg: 8GB RAM) ~ [16000 for 16GB], Maximum Size(MB) ~ slightly larger~ [17000] -> Set -> OK -> Reboot...
