I am trying to monitor SPX real time intraday data but the cahrts are not updating - it just loads historical data I have added $SPX symbol to my Intraday file update list and also using intraday charts. Please help |

Not sure it is possible to get that data directly from TD Ameritrade but it is available from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed. I have same issue with SC. No real time data update. Does SC trial block intradata from TDA?

The trial does support TD Ameritrade and all functionality. Tell us one of the symbols you are not receiving real-time data for. I can try SPY Do you mean SPX is not provided? is there a different symbol for S&P index? |

Definitely that specific symbol is not going to work. We tried a couple of other symbols that might provide the S&P 500 cash index data from TD Ameritrade but they did not work. So it seems as though this data is not available through the TD Ameritrade API that Sierra Chart uses. You will need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for this data: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#AccessCashIndexMarketData The cost of the data feed is only 15 USD per month plus the 3.25 USD exchange fee. in this case, I will not be able to trade this symbol via TD Ameritrade! Another question: is the real-time data for SPX available in the trial version? Also, does INteractive Broker support this symbol via API? |

Actually, we just thought of an easier solution. Use this symbol: SPX500 The S&P 500 cash index is not tradable.
