VBP on Replay

Hi,

Say I have a VBP study (Volume Graph Period Type = From Start Date-Time to End Date-Time) on a chart pertaining to dates this year. Now, if I start replaying the chart starting in September of last year, it appears that the volume profile graph corresponding to the VBP study shows up on the screen during the replay. The bars referred by the VBP have not been formed yet, they are in the future with respect to the chart date/time. Of course, I can delete the VBP and everything will be fine. However, I have to add it back (to compound the issue, there could be many VBPs in many charts doing this) once the replay is done and I want to get back to live charts. This is a minor inconvenience but it would be nice if a VBP referring to bars in the future doesn't draw anything at all.

Thanks.

This will not change. This is part of the design philosophy of that study to always display the profile on the nearest matching bars. You will need to hide the study and that can be easily done by right clicking on the Region Data Line at the top of the chart.

Maybe we could add a Study Input to do what you want, but it probably would have to apply only to certain Volume Graph Period Types, but it is yet another item on top of are already very very long list of things to do.

That is fine if you don't do it. I can create a duplicate chartbook and remove the VBPs I don't need. That will work as a workaround. I had a doubt that I may be doing it wrong too. Now that you confirmed the design, I am fine with it. Thanks for the quick response.
