Hi, When sim trading is enabled and you have a number of sim accounts defined, you end with those sim accounts with names Sim1, Sim2, Sim3... etc. Is thera a way to give those accounts a different name? It would be very useful if we could, for example, sim trading with a method candle based in one account, and with a renko bars based method in another, and be able to name the accounts candles and renko respectively. That way, if you use several different methods to test, is very easy keep track ot them, without having to remenber which Sim is for each, just the name gives you the information. |

This is not supported and is very involved to implement. It is not something we would do.

Engineering: I have had the same question & the same need for naming sim accounts for testing & tracking for some time, & this morning decided to see if it had been asked before. I hope eventually this is something SC would undertake. Meanwhile, I will try to keep a paper list of what each (Sim 1, Sim 2, etc.) represents. Thank you. |

As an alternative what you can do is use this setting on the Trade Window to add text to an order: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeWindow.html#TextTag Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
