I have certain alerts setup with sounds when they're triggered. When one particular one triggers the alert manager window pops up..........every time. Please tell me how I can disable this or resolve it.

I don't ever want the alert window popping up for any alerts under any circumstances. That's why I have sounds on them, or emails, or texts. It is very distracting having to close this window every time an alert is triggered when I'm trying to place orders. Thank you.

What specifically is triggering the alert?

This option should disable the opening of the Alerts Manager:
General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings)

It is based on a formula that I created that has to do with volume imbalances within each bar. For instance, one alert will calculate the ask volume divided by the bid volume for each price in the bar. It looks like the alert manager triggers an error message when the bid volume is 0 as it can't run the calculation dividing by 0. Is there a simple way to fix this?

So do you have this option disabled and it still opens?:

General Settings Window: Show Alerts Log On Study Alert (Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts >> Additional Settings)

Under 'Window' I had a check mark under alert manager that I just removed. Sounds like this should solve it. I appreciate it.

If I can ask a separate question, I have an 'AND' formula with 4 conditions and my alert goes off when they're all met. Is there a simple way to make the alert go off if say, any 2 of the 4 are met? I know I can do a big series of OR statements but was wondering if there is a quicker way. Thank you for your help.

Unable to delete alerts that have syntax errors

Go to where you have entered the Alert Formula, select the text and press the Delete key on the keyboard.

So I'm still getting the alert manager window when certain alerts go off. I'm not so much as interested in resolving the errors as I am not having the window pop up. Is there a way to disable it? If not, can you make it so that it's possible? I would think that this would be a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 in the difficulty department. I can see that I'm not the only user that would like to have it disabled. Everyone should have a choice. Please advise. Thank you.

It seems to keep coming up when there is a number divided by zero in my formulas. This is going to happen at times no matter what. I can't have the alert window pop up every time this happens. I really can't have it pop up ever. Please help.

This is my solution to annoying log pop-ups:
Grab the corner of the log window, and shrink it to a very small size, then park it somewhere.
When you want to see what is in the log, grab a corner and expand the window.

The problem is your alert formula has an error. So you need to come up with a solution to that.

To avoid the division by zero an easy solution is to add a small amount to the divisor like .0001 .

We are not willing to add an option for this. It is just too many options. And there is a reason why the Alert Manager opens to alert you that there is an error in the formula.

Well is it that hard to offer up a solution like adding 0.0001 as opposed to not responding at all? I can work with that. Thanks.

We are doing our very best. Please keep in mind you are a high support load account.

And we cannot always think of everything right away.

And that is not necessarily an ideal solution anyway because it will give a result that may not make any sense.

Furthermore, we were still contemplating what was the best solution if any.
