I just tried connecting to FIX instead of the Web API as I've been reading that Sierra recommends that as being more stable. However when trying to submit an order on FIX it gets rejected and I get an error msg in the log for Insufficient margin. However when connecting to Web API that exact same order for the same acc goes through fine. 1. What could be the reason for this? 2. Is FIX still the preferred mode of connection? 3. Are there any differences in terms of server side orders between the two types of connections. Thanks.

This is now documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CQGTrading.php#MarginRequirementsAndBracketOrders FIX is generally preferred, but with recent development to the CQG Web API, you can use either.
