I am looking at Tradovate as a broker/real-time data (CQG) provider - How does this impact my real-time data/historic data from SC?

CQG is supported. Refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CQGTrading.php The market data will come from CQG in this case. Their data comes from CQG but it is integrated into their platform offering. It is not a separate feed from CQG. My main query relates to SC as Tradovate are not a listed trading service/broker so I will not have a specific login to the CQG feed.

Based on the information in post #3 and in regards to this, you will have to pay the higher price CME exchange fees for real-time futures data.

Why? The account with Tradovate will be a live trading account with 4x US Exchanges.

Because the Chicago Mercantile exchange is greedy and stupid. Tradovate is not a supported futures trading service. So for real-time futures data you need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php Refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/FuturesData.php#CMEExchangesNotEntitledUnlessTradingAccount Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Curious to know if other users have been experiencing disconnections at Tradovate since it’s using CQG ?

Some users definitely will be experiencing an increased amount of disconnections. So definitely this will be a potential problem.

You’re implying that all users experience some disconnections, even if rare ? Nobody escapes it ? If it’s guaranteed, I might as well skip and consider another option.

Yes. And no matter what service you are using even including our own, disconnections can still happen but they are going to be less frequent or much less frequent based on reports. In the case of when using this particular service: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service The way re-connections are managed, are much more graceful and may go unnoticed.
