Hi

I am using an ES futures chart: 30 minute bar period, intraday, session time 17:00:00 to 15:59:59.

When using the "Horizontal Line at Time" Study, the Line re-initiates itself on the opening bar of a new week whatever settings I use in the study.

Many Thanks

This might actually be because it is going to match to the nearest Date-Time for the current day.

Okay. This be fixed then?

(My C++ is extremely sketchy, but I see some code in this study has been commented out before.)

There is not likely that anything is genuinely wrong. We have very little details about this in regards to the Session Times, and the Study Settings.

And inevitably when we make changes like this we cause problems for existing users who expect a certain behavior. Therefore, we do not plan any changes.

Maybe it would help to exclude weekend data from the chart through the Chart Settings. We do not know because as we said we have no details about specifically what you are doing.

The error occurs with default study settings.

I have tried switching things around as you suggested:

the study works correctly if I change "Chart Settings / Session Times / Start Time" to "00:00:00" and "Do Not load Weekend Data".

Unfortunately that is not much use to me because futures markets start every session at 17:00:00 CT and I use other studies depending on the session time.

OK, but as we said there are no changes planned. We would not make any changes for the reason given.

And it takes a significant amount of time to even analyze this anyway and we would probably conclude there is nothing wrong according to its design.
