Hello Sierra, following this support request: Request for 2 week trial of Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed I went ahead and bought a 2 week demo on my account. The problem is that I got the CME exchange data, which cannot work if you don't have a trading account with one of these services: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#IntegrationWithTradingServices

Right now I only have a Rithmic demo, but I don't think that will work with the Sierra Real Time Data Feed.

I don't currently have a funded trading account, but I was looking to fund the account I already have with Dorman trading. I would hope that it would be possible to have the 2 week demo work with me having the Sierra chart platform and the Sierra Chart Real time Data feed, and passing orders to Dorman. If that worked then I would also look to go for live trading. Is this chain of actions possible with Dorman (chain meaning I fire up my Sierra platform, have the Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed for data, and make orders to my account at Dorman)? Right now it doesn't seem possible to me, unless I used a Rithmic live account.

We see that you activated the CME exchange for users without a trading account.

So this will let you get data for futures contracts like the ES futures. So you do not need a trading account. At this time, you can set the service in Sierra Chart to SC Data- All Services and receive the real-time futures data. Just make sure you use the symbols in File >> Find Symbol.

Yes this is possible. But for trading, you will need to use a trading platform service like Rithmic, CQG or CTS with Sierra Chart. Have a look at our new CTS order routing connection which is supported by Dorman:

I did use the SC Data- All Services and File->Find Symbol, but I am not getting any data. As an example, I tried getting data for M6 (mexican peso) and UB (EuroFX/Norwegian Krone) but it didn't load any data. I also looked for Czech koruna (WC or WE according to https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Futures#CME) but these symbols don't appear on my Find Symbol menu. Could something be wrong?

You will get data for the symbol M6H17.

Regarding these other symbols, if you are not seeing data, it is either because they are hardly traded or we do not have them set up because they are hardly used. We do not have anyone else asking about these. They can be set up though, but do you really need them? Check the CME website for the trading volume for them.

No, I don't think I will. I was just trying to double check that I indeed have the correct data feed by checking symbols from https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChart_RealTime_And_Historical_Symbols.php&SymbolsPage=Futures#CME and whether I can get them on my platform.

OK, also remember those are the futures base symbols. There still is the month and year codes that need to be added. But those are all listed in File >> Find Symbol.
