question about custom bars

Hi, I am new to sierra chart platform. I have been learning ASCIL and trying to create some custom bars. Because my own way to create bar requires each tick data along with predefined rules(not fixed number of ticks for each bar). I found the only way to achieve that so far is to set the chart to display 1 number of traders per bar and then code based on that to create custom study. Below are my questions. 1. Do i have to rely on existing chart to create custom charts? (I noticed the examples provided were all using some existing bars/charts to create different type of bars)? 2. If answer is no to question 1, how do i access to each tick data in order to create my own bars? Thanks, |
