Support - Is there any way to configure the trade window to achieve the following request. For "X" number of ticks in favor of trade, move the stop by "Y" ticks. thank you. |

Yes. You need to use the Move to Breakeven for Stops functionality for Attached Orders: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AttachedOrders.html#MoveBreakevenForStop Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Support - Thank you for the quick response. However even after reading through the documentation provided, not really following how I can achieve this. apologize in case if I am missing some minute details. I would like to move 1 tick for every 2 ticks price move in my favor. Example: 1 contract - market order Initial stop 20 ticks - from entry price Target - 20 ticks - from entry price For each 2 ticks price move in my favor - would like to move 1 tick for the stop. Please note that the price movement and stop movement ticks are different. Any sample window configuration image/configuration file you can provide to achieve this? thank you. You need to use a Step Trailing Stop: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/OrderTypes.html#StepTrailingStop Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. thank you, again for your response but this is not what I meant to ask you. I said I may need this: --> For "X" number of ticks in favor of trade, move the stop by "Y" ticks. <-- Reading your documentation I read this: --> ...Stop price to 95, both of which will establish a Trail Offset of 5, the Step Amount is 2, then when the market price moves from 100 to 102, then the stop price will move to 97... <-- by reading what you posted, the Sierra built-in function is doing this: --> After the initial offset is established(95) - For "X" ticks of price movement(step amount 2), the stop also moves "X" ticks(new price to 97), rather than "Y" ticks (would prefer the stop to move to 96 (1 tick move) - and so on. Is there any possibility to implement this in SC ? thank you Andrew Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-01-03 21:13:05

Understand that this will be up to a year for implementation and we cannot get to it any sooner.

We actually intend to try to get this done in the next couple of months but we do not want to make a promise we cannot keep.
