Hi, I am using cells J80 & J81 in the Spreadsheet (SS) for Trading study to set the attached order Target & Stops (instead of the Trade Windows / Twconfig files.) Is there a way for the SS study to amend these orders? I think you can achieve this by using cell J27 to cancel the working orders (once in a position) and then re-submit a new Target & Stop, but I was wondering if you can somehow amend the attached Target & stop instead? (NB: I don't want to do this manually and would like the SS to keep control.) |

No, this is not supported. To modify an order you need to use ACSIL instead: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ACSILTrading.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. You can use the Trade Management by Study study to modify Attached Orders placed by the Spreadsheet System for Trading study's J80/J81. The formula to modify the stop and/or target needs to return a price and needs to be in a Formula Column. Then set the Trade Management by Study's 'Controlling Subgraph Reference' to that spreadsheet's sugbraph. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2016-12-29 16:33:07

This is a good idea. We had not thought of that.

SC, Is this ACSIL soure code available for this study, I wasn't able to find anything when searching through the ACS folder study? I can see the study in the list of built in SC studies and will use it from there, but I will be going down the ACSIL route sometime in the NY so any source code will be helpful. NB; thanks Tom for picking this up. |

The source code is in the file /ACS_Source/AutomatedTradeManagementBySubgraph.cpp provided with Sierra Chart.
