Hi, I am not interested in fully automatic trading, but would like to have order management automatic once I've manually entered a position. E.g. when order filled - place volume triggered stop at x and limit take profit order at y - if filled on either, cancel the other. Is this all possible via the SC spreadsheet? If so, any documentation I can look closer at? /Martin |

In the case of when using a Bid/Ask Quantity Triggered Stop, this cannot be automatically submitted. It needs to be manually done: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/OrderTypes.html#BidAskQuantityTriggeredStopStudy Otherwise, a target and other types of stops can be automatically placed: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/AttachedOrders.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. If you want to move an Attached Order with a spreadsheet formula, you can use the Trade Management by Study study referencing a subgraph (Formula Column) that contain a formula that returns a price. If you want to exit from an Attached Order via a spreadsheet formula referencing volume, use cells L3 and N3 (of the Spreadsheet System for Trading study), and set 'Cancel All Working Orders On Exit' to Yes. |

Is there any way to use the "Trade Management by Study" to enter trades?

No, but have a look at other 'Trading:...." studies. Or use the Spreadsheet System for Trading study. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TradeStatusWindows.html#TradeDataStudies Unfortunately, the latest Trading: studies have not been documented. |

Thanks Tom. What I like about using more than one "Trade Management by Study" studies and a Spreadsheet Study is the flexibility to change the stop strategy, on the fly, by pressing a "Custom Study Button". Is there anyway to do the same just using Spreadsheet Studies? |

You could use a cell in column H to enter a strategy indentifier, then a formula referencing that cell would return a price in a Formula Column based on that strategy, then the Trade Management by Study would move the Stoploss to that price. This is the only way to change the stop strategy on the fly, using a spreadsheet study. |

Is it possible to use a "Custom Study Button" to entry a number in a cell in a spreadsheet?

No, but you could have something custom programmed using ACSIL. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartStudyAndSystemProgrammers.php Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-01-06 18:47:19
