Hi,

I am on package 5 on Rithmic however for some reason I don't understand, I can't connect to rithmic during the weekends and I noticed that SC provides historical data.

Am I eligible for this? From the documentation it seems that I am. I tried connecting to SD Data (All Services) but when I go the chart I get download failed.

Furthermore, is stocks data available as well?

Can you guide me in the right direction please?

Thank you

You need to have a direct account for this:
Direct Sierra Chart Account

Historical stock data is included with a direct account.

Are you saying that a direct account would allow me to download tick intraday data when market is closed? Do I have to connect with SC Data all services or still use the rithmic connection and it downloads tick data when markets are closed?

It seems that I do get access to historical charts from sd data but not for intraday charts. Point 6 from the link you have sent me seems to imply that this service only applies to whoever does not have a trading account.

Also does this provide access to stock data please?

Yes but you would need to change the service in Sierra Chart to directly use the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service as is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartHistoricalData.php#SetupInstructions

And you would need to use the corresponding symbols. So you probably will want to use another copy of Sierra Chart as the documentation explains.

As we said before, historical equity/stock data is provided with a direct account.

Thanks for your reply.

I've already read that documentation instructions.

I can get historical data with the current setup on historical charts. So what you are saying is that I would get additional intraday data correct? But This setup honestly would create more issues and complexities. IRT has a simple setup where you can input 2 symbols -> one for historical data symbol (DTN data feed), and another one for live data.

I thought a setup like this is possible in Sierra. But you are saying that I would need another copy? I would have thought that there is some way of getting data when market is closed without messing around with changing connections and having another copy installed.

We are not saying you would get additional historical Intraday data other than the stock data. The problem you presented us is that you cannot connect to the Rithmic server over the weekend and therefore cannot access historical data that was not already received.

The best solution is to use our CTS order routing connection to avoid losing the connection over the weekend:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CTS_T4.php#SetupInstructionsForAdvancedLowCostConnectionModel

This also requires a direct account.

Anyway, we have provided more than enough support on the subject.

We cannot answer any further questions unless you get a direct account.
