Some symbols not active

Hello,

For some reason I can not access real time data on certain symbols. I have a quote board that I follow and there are about 20 different symbols on there and I have about 10 that are live real time. The other ones are common symbols and part of my CME package, but I can't get them to be live. I have been trying to figure this one out for a while. I talked to my data feed (Gain) and they said it has something to do with the charting. For example I have no problem with the Dow futures feed but I don't get the Crude oil feed. They are part of the same package, maybe SC only lets you have so many symbols active on the charting. Hopefully this helps.

This is a limit set by Gain Capital and not Sierra Chart.

thanks for the quick reply. I only have 1 chart of the s and p futures and a quoteboard with about 20 symbols on it. About half of them are streaming real time and the other half don't move at all all day. Even if I can only have 5 quotes in real time on my quoteboard then how can I choose which ones are active and which ones are not? For example I have the Euro Dollar futures in real time, but I don't need them. Can I replace Euro Dollar with Crude oil?

The first thing we recommend you do is to contact Gain Capital and have them increase the symbol limit on your account to 10 symbols.

Then only use no more than 10 symbols among Quote Boards and charts. You cannot use more than 10.

You will also need to reconnect to the data feed after reducing the number of symbols:
