When drawing a Line with text containing multiple lines, the text alignment is often erratic. Sometimes the text will be close to the line, other times depending upon the rotation angle, it will be miles away and looks very odd. I have the Horizontal Align and Vertical Align both set to Auto. If I do exactly the same with the Calculator drawing tool, the text is aligned much better and is consistent. The only difference I can see between the two, is that the Calculator tool has a distinct Multiline Label property, whereas the Line Tool does not, despite allowing multiple lines to be entered. It's a little difficult to explain using text only, hence I've attached a simple chartbook demonstrating the differences. The difference between the two should be immediately obvious, or you can move them both around to see what I mean. Thanks. |

Thanks for the fix. The fix seems to work fine for a Line with a multi-line text label, but if a single line of text is used the horizontal alignment (when set to auto), seems to be incorrect (see attached simple chartbook). |

Next time do not provide a Chartbook. Only provide chart images using this method only: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image And describe in text form what it is you are trying to show. Anyway, we understand what the issue is and this will be resolved in the next release. The difference in behavior has to do with the fact that the Chart Calculator drawing had the multiline option enabled. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
