Hello, I happly noticed that in your new release (1483) you said "Updated Rithmic API in the Rithmic bridge program"; well, could you please be so king in explaining it a little more ? 1. Will the API be faster and more stable ? 2. Will it consume less CPU cycles ? Please, could you elaborate a little bit more what you did to make Sierra connection to Rithmic better ? I use Rithmic a lot and I do think it is the best connection for retail algo trading. Thank you very much for your great support Andrew |

1. 2. Neither. We are not aware of any performance or stability issues and could not make any improvement in that area directly anyway since we have no direct control over that for the most part since the software is provided by Rithmic. We never said we did anything better, only included the updated Rithmic software from Rithmic. But Rithmic has mentioned several bugs were fixed over the last year. But we are not aware of those particular bugs ever causing a problem. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. However, one thing that has come to mind is that the Order IDs are now implemented as a text string rather than an integer in the Rithmic API. The old API that Sierra Chart was using would run into a problem when the integer value would overflow. So this will no longer happen. If this did happen, it would be very obvious because the connection would be lost to Rithmic when this happens. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
