All of a sudden my Sierra won't connect. I have both Sierra Chart Data and data from my broker Gain Capital/OEC. I do not have any other instances open of sierra. My charts will not populate at all as I cannot connect to either data feed. this has never happened before either.

Make sure there is no other copy of Sierra Chart connected to your Gain Capital account. If you know you are not connected, then contact Gain Capital and request them to disconnect the current connection. Hopefully they can do that for you.

It definitely is not a problem on our side and anything that we have any control over.

Provide a copy of the Message Log again:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#MessageLog

We will then contact Gain Capital directly about this for you.

This is what we see when connecting to the market data server:

GainCapital FAST Data: Received a Logout message. Text = UserAlreadyConnected | 2016-11-02 13:35:27

This error message comes from the Gain server.

Select File >> Disconnect. Wait about 3 minutes and then select File >> Connect to Data Feed.

We are also contacting Gain Capital about this now.

We contacted them. And told them specifically to log you out of the FAST data server. That is a different server giving the error message.

Yes you can definitely use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed directly.

Set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service to "SC Data- All Services".

Some symbols are going to be different. You can find them in File >> Find Symbol. To change the symbols of existing charts, refer to:
Changing the Symbol of a Chart

Make sure you connect to your Gain Capital account once a month:

how can I contact gain? its frustrating for me becuase everyone is blaming everyone else and the only person who is stuck with no data is me. SC data is not a solution because I have to login to the account once a month and if I caN'T do that now, I wont be able to do it in a monthe either

We are in contact with Gain Capital about your account now.

Follow through our instructions in post #10. There is no need to connect to Gain Capital at this time. We have authorized your account for the real-time CME data because we know you have a funded trading account. But you will need to do that next month.
