When i opened SC it was in system notification message. SC was very sluggish at the time.I have signed in since and do not see the message

This does not make sense. There is no requirement of cookies for the System Notification message and the word cookie was never used in those messages.

This does not make sense to me either! When I open SC for first time. a window appears with message updated acct support ticket: view in web browser. When I check web browser updated acct ticket SC home window appears with message in red: cookies are disabled programm will not work properly. If I log out and log in again the cookies message disappears. Not having being aware of this situation proved very expensive for me last week |

OK so you are referring to message you see in the web browser. That is different. Whether the cookie message was displayed by your web browser or it was a message from the Sierra Chart web server, we do not know because we do not know the exact text of the message you saw. Web browser cookies have absolutely zero effect on the updating of charts in the Sierra Chart program. Not sure why you are getting the cookie message.
