Microsoft updated my computer without warning - Windows 10 anniversary update Now I cannot start Sierra Chart I get error message that MSVCR100.dll is missing I went to MS website to reinstall MSVCR100.dll but got an error message from the installer that it is blocked because of a newer version. I tried downloading the latest version of Sierra Chart but still had the same issue. Is Sierra Chart compatible with Windows 10 anniversary update? How can I make your software work? |

When I received your response I was online with a technician from Microsoft with remote access to my pc. After 20 minutes of unsuccessfully trying various microsoft tools he looked in the Sierra Charts folder and found a file that contained a command to repair dll library. That solved the problem. I didn't catch the name of the file or subfolder but hopefully you will know. I hope this helps you for other users. |

Yes, that file was the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package. Hopefully, before the end of the year there will be no longer any dependency on it. Eventually there will not be. Hi, Where are we standing on the VS2010 runtime dependency ? It seems to be included in the release packages, but I don't see the 2010 runtime installer running anymore. Is it still installed required by Sierra ? Is is still installed by Sierra ? I ask the question because I deploy on clients computers some dll studies compiled with the 2010 runtime and assume it is installed on the target computers (by Sierra). It used to be the case but is it still ? Thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2017-06-17 11:09:56

The Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package is no longer provided by the Sierra Chart installer and it is no longer required.
