Sorry, I did not explain the issue clearly. What I would need is to see the "developing" VbP study on historical data, e.g. during the Replay mode. Richard

Do you want a Volume Profile displayed for each bar in the chart? Otherwise, this is not making sense to us.

The VolumeByPrice study has several options as to which data to chart. you need to set Study -->VbP --> VolumeGraphPeriodType. If you want the profile for each day to be independent, then you would set this to "Multiple Profiles From Start Time to End Time" And then set the "StartTime" and "EndTime" values to match your market (for futures, in NY[EST] time, that would be StartTime: 18:00:00 [6pm] and EndTime: 17:00:00 [5pm]) If you want VbP to display profile based on all visible bars (i think this is what you want) then set Study -->VbP --> VolumeGraphPeriodType = Visible Bars there are many other options in this setting...but i suspect these are what you are looking for |

If you want the profile for each day to be independent,
In this particular case you would use Multiple Profiles Based on Fixed Time.And set the Session Times in the Chart Settings. Hi, thank you for detailed explanation, however I still need something different. Let me mention an example: - I am backtesting the historical trading day in June 2016 - the session started at 8,30 am - I use 2 min. bar chart - the replay mode is active - the last bar in the chart is at 13,30 What I want to see at this situation is the total VbP profile right side aligned for the whole session. Yes, the whole session is for me from 8,30 till the last actual bar in the chart. Regards, Richard |
