Wave File set up for alert not playing right

So, I tried adding my personal wave (.WAV) file to an alert and I see another sound playing instead. I also have attributed the right file in the Alerts tab inside Color bar based on ALert condition. Any reason why? |

I followed it but my wav file plays in windows right but when tested within Sierra it plays a generic sound and not what is recorded in it. Please help! |

Yes, I am recording voice but it plays just well in the Windows PC but just not in Sierra. Why doing think is this happening? |

-Is your .wav file located in your Sierra \AlertSounds folder? -Have you assigned your .wav file to an Alert# at Global Settings >> General Settings >> Alerts/General3 tab? -Have you selected the Alert Sound where the alert originates? |
