Summary: Should/could there be an option that allows "Local Subnet Including Local Computer"? Detail: When I run a sub instance, its Server address is always 127.0.0.1. It connects okay when "Allowed Incoming IPs" on the server (main instance) is set to "Local Computer Only". To connect from another PC on my network, I can set "Allowed Incoming IPs" to "Local Subnet Only" on the main instance on the first computer, but that means my sub instances on that computer (where the server is) no longer connect until I change the sub instance address from 127.0.0.1 to the local subnet address of the server. That works okay, but the sub instance address doesn't persist, so I must reset it every restart. The only alternative seems to be "Any IP", which works okay but exposes me to the internet. Thank you. |
