I am using SCID continuous futures data files. In your previous versions the maximum file size could be restricted with the excess dumped into a -1 file. In the current versions this restriction does not exist. Therefore my data files are getting too large. How can these files be restricted either size-wise or oldest date-wise? The preferred method would be a method of truncating off data older than a specified date or back a specified number of days from current date. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

We definitely do not recommend this outdated method for continuous futures contract charts. Follow the method documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html Also there is this feature to reduce the size of files: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DataSourceSettings.php#DataFileManagement Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
