Hello, I want to use iq feed for data, not my brokers data. I only want to execute through my broker. To get iq feed data, i need to use symbols according to iqfeed symbology. The problem is that the symbols are slightly different that what my broker recognizes. For example IQ feed will have 16 at the end of a futures symbol to represent the year but my broker will only have a 6 at the end of the futures symbol. So when i connect to iqfeed, I am NOT able to execute through my broker because the symbol is not recognized. When i place an order, sierra switches to sim mode and i cannot execute an order unless i switch to the symbol my broker recognizes and then i cannot get data from iqfeed because iq feed does not recognize the symbol that my broker recognizes. How do i get data from iq feed and execute through my broker - gain capital- and resolve this symbology issue that keeps me switching to sim mode ? thank you, Rassul |

There is a way to do this but it is no longer documented. But we could restore the documentation. We would rather not do that though. However, there is a better and more easier way and that is to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php This data feed is fully integrated with all trading services including Gain Capital. Is there a reason why you require IQ Feed? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I compared crude oil chart (20,000 tick) with IQ feed vs. Gain Capital feed and they are drastically different (see attached file). Gain feed does not seem accurate and appears to miss data. (see attached chart) I dont mind getting sierra feed if it matches iq feed. Is the sierra feed oem of iqfeed like kinetick. Does it give the same chart as iqfeed ? Let me know, i appreciate it.
