I am having a problem with getting alerts to work on the MACD crossover system . my current attempt is =CROSSOVER(SG1,SG2) which from what I've seen should be ok as the ID number is at the top of the settings box . I get signals but not alerts . Can you see a mistake as Its starting to do my head in . In my Study Settings > Alerts tab and I have Enabled checked and the Alert Sound is correct. It draws the study but no Alert given. Any thoughts? |

I figured out one thing but not this: I changed the code to =CROSSOVER(ID14.SG1,SG2) and it seems to work but only on the short side cross. ID14 is the actual MACD indicator. How do I get it to long side too? |

For the MACD Crossover System study you need to use this Alert Formula: = OR(SG1>0,SG2>0) Use this formula directly on the study itself: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: To Enter an Alert Condition on a Study Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
