Is it possible for you to develop a volume tool, similar to your existing Candle Price Volume Bars, which prints wider bars or color codes those bars which have a certain amount of volume > some threshold? ex: show (wider or color coded) a bar if volume > 5,000 contracts Thanks |

Thank you SC support for working on the above request. I also use CPV bars but in a parameter set by range bars. In other words range bars that can be customized by color or width according to volume traded within each bar. Additional customization features would be great.

Hi SC Support, Hope that you can consider this request after the CME live feed has been successfully rolled out. As mentioned by User28682 in another post: ...one big problem with its current format, is in the last 30 min of trade...there is a natural surge in volume to close positions. This equates to wide candles, then no other nice sized candles can print wide. SC should consider something for ALL volumes over a threshold instead of just 1 big one, and then having to compare to that.
If a volume tool cannot be created easily, one suggestion is to allow the user to customize the volume threshold when "Candle Price Volume Bars" is selected in Chart Settings. Hope the request can be considered and best wishes. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-10-20 12:21:01

For now, it is possible to highlight bars that meet a particular condition , like having a volume over a particular amount, by using the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s245 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
