Hello, I'm coming from NT so still have to get my head around the SC Dom, although I much prefer it. Still managing multiple scale in's with their targets etc is still a challenge. I just noticed that my entry price has moved for no apparent reason. I checked the trade log and it says this: Request open orders from trading service. Update trade position quantity to -1 (i assume meaning 1 contract short). Can you please explain why this happened? Thank you |

This is all explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TradeStatusWindows.html#HowAvgPricePositionsCalcUsed Sounds like you will want to use the Flat to Flat Average Position Price calculation method which is explained. Ok thank you. I believe this is in relation to how the average prices moves as you scale in or out. However in this case it moved without any buy or sell order being actioned. What could the reason be for that? |

There could have been a change with the Trade Service provided Average Position Price or the Trade Service provided Average Position Price could currently be used or not used compared to previously. You can tell which one is being used simply by looking at Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Positions. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. CQG should provide an accurate Trade Position Average Price.
