Hi The scenario... 1) I have a long position 2) I have working Sell Stop order to open a short position at some point in the future after flattening my long position 3) I try to flatten my long position with a BuyExit order and I get the following message in the Trade Service Log... Auto-trade: EURUSD 1 Trades #1 | FX Machine | Bar start Date-Time: 2016-06-29 20:51:42.001 | BuyExit signal is ignored. Long position quantity does not exist or there are already working exit orders that will flatten the position. Current Position with working exit orders: 0. Current Position: 1. Current Position with exit market orders: 1 | 2016-06-29 20:51:43 I have set the trading variables for Unmanaged Trading as per the documentation. And from reading the Automated Trading Management documentation, I think this could be related to Managed/Unmanaged Trading and/or using the BuyOrder() function instead of BuyExit() but I'm not sure. What I want to achieve is to flatten my long position leaving my Sell Stop active to open short position upon a further fall at some point in the future. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Kind regards John |

Hi Thanks for the reply. I have read the Unmanaged Automated Trading documentation but I don't find the wording to be crystal clear. I'm inferring from the documentation and your reply that I need to use the BuyOrder/SellOrder functions to flatten a position in the scenario I have described? Many thanks |
