When I draw a horizontal line and the price hits the line, the line changes its color and thickness from e.g. blue (1 thick) to black (2 thick). How can I avoid that ? |

Right-click on the line and select Alerts. What is Tool Configuration for Appearance When True set to?

When I Right-click on the line and select Alerts a Chart Drawing Alert dialog becomes visible, but I see no "Tool Configuration for Appearance" setting.

OK you may be using the older method by which the appearance properties are being changed for alerts. That has been discontinued. Update Sierra Chart to the current version: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate In the current version, you will see that setting in the Chart Drawing Alerts dialog. Make sure it is set to None. We will be preparing documentation for this feature later today. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
